241: Responsible Use of AI in Teaching Evaluation: A Think Tank Discussion
Wednesday, November 12, 2025
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM CST
As AI becomes more integrated into education, evaluator educators must consider how to use it responsibly in the classroom. This think tank session will explore the practical and ethical dimensions of using AI tools in teaching evaluation. The session will begin with a brief overview of strategies such as using ChatGPT to generate case studies or practice data sets and leveraging Beautiful.ai to streamline slide creation. Participants will then break into small groups, each focused on one strategy, to collaboratively discuss possible classroom applications, benefits, limitations, and ethical concerns. Each group will synthesize their discussion into a poster for a gallery walk, encouraging reflection and cross-group learning. The session will conclude with a full-group share-out and discussion. This think tank invites attendees to critically consider how AI can support evaluation education while maintaining integrity, equity, and thoughtful pedagogy.
