To cultivate a vibrant, empowered, and supportive community, the Illinois Health Evaluation Collaborative (IHEC) implemented evaluator self-assessments, and a step-by-step process to guide team members through the creation of positionality and value statements that eventually informed the creation of the IHEC Value Statement. These initiatives were thoughtfully designed to facilitate self-reflection, foster mutual understanding, boost team engagement, and deepen connections. Ultimately, the efforts reflect shared leadership specifically focused on collective accountability. This poster will explain the process of self-assessment and creation of value statements as the IHEC team did. It will also have an emphasis on the significance of these shared leadership and engagement strategies and will allow viewers to share their reflections with the authors. Through sharing these initiatives, IHEC aspires to provide guidance that allows others to create a dynamic space that promotes synergistic learning, growth, and continuous improvement anchored in shared knowledge and robust relationships.
