Wednesday, November 12, 2025
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM CST
By 2060 estimates indicate approximately one in four people living in the United States will be LatinX, directly linking the prosperity of our nation to those of LatinX heritage, and their economic mobility. The poster presentation will focus on the mixed methods and community-based research completed to identify Latino's barriers to economic mobility and provide solutions to building wealth. This culturally focused initiative includes interviewing community stakeholders and LatinX clients from the nonprofit Chicanos por la Causa (CPLC) to ensure their “voices” are integral to the process. Results will identify barriers inhibiting economic mobility for Latinos providing primary data insights, strategies and solutions, in an area where little research exists. Partnering with CPLC to complete this study is Arizona State University's Seidman Institute and WestGroup Research. The results provide a forum for solutions at both the advocacy and programmatic levels for policy makers, business leaders, corporations, and community influencers to advance efforts increasing Latino economic mobility.
