This study explores the integration of artificial intelligence, specifically Gemini 2.5 Pro, into collaborative evaluations to enhance large-scale survey items for deeper community engagement. Drawing on the Model for Collaborative Evaluations (MCE), this work demonstrates how advanced AI tools can support evaluators in refining survey questions that are more inclusive, context-sensitive, and aligned with stakeholders’ realities. The paper illustrates how AI-assisted insights can enhance the clarity, cultural responsiveness, and utility of data collected from diverse populations. By embracing a collaborative approach, evaluators not only ensure stakeholder participation at every stage but also increase the relevance and usability of findings. This study contributes to the field of stakeholder-involved evaluation by showing how emerging technologies can strengthen human-centered methodologies and foster meaningful partnerships with communities. The results suggest that AI, when ethically and transparently employed, can augment the rigor and resonance of evaluation practices in both local and global contexts.
