Wednesday, November 12, 2025
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM CST
One Health highlights the interconnectedness of human, animal, plant, and environmental health, requiring collaboration between different disciplines. This presentation examines the role of evaluation in improving One Health projects by systematically assessing communication, stakeholder engagement, capacity-building activities, and global collaborations. We propose employing an integrated approach that incorporates needs assessment, stakeholder interviews, asset mapping, and impact assessments to identify critical gaps and opportunities for enhancing the One Health initiatives. Our objective is to enhance sustainability, promote adaptive learning within multidisciplinary teams, and improve health outcomes by promoting cross-sector collaboration and leveraging international partnerships. This presentation will emphasize crucial steps for promoting the One Health initiative, including the utilization of evaluation findings and best practices for assessing the project’s efficacy. The participants will enhance their understanding of utilizing evaluation to improve complex projects such as one-health by enabling interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based decision-making, and the longer-term impact of global health interventions.
