132: Capturing Love: How one foundation's evaluation efforts played an important role in creating a more caring initiative culture

Maybe love isn’t all you need (in evaluation), but it could be an important piece of it. In this session, participants will learn about the evaluation approach used for a foundation initiative that centers the experience of grant partners with an intentional focus on the extent to which they are feeling loved. Session attendees will hear about how this initiative’s “Love Dashboard” was created and why it felt necessary to include a measure that helped us create space for self and community care, individual reflection, and strengthened opportunities for collaboration. We will share what we are learning through this tool, and how the information it is generating is being shared and used. We will also invite conversation among participants about why and how they might apply measures connected to the grant partner experience- including in relation to love, care, and community- in their own bodies of work.
