Wednesday, November 12, 2025
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM CST
This poster presentation will introduce a reflexive model towards a responsive community-campus partnership in community engaged research and evaluation. The overarching theme of this presentation is the impact of shared leadership between community partners and academic researchers throughout this partnership process. The model comprises development of a shared leadership model to clearly identify formal leadership roles; initiation and evaluation of a partnership agreement amongst all parties to transparently communicate goals, expectations, and priorities. It also describes the importance of implementing the partnership agreement into practice through resource sharing and alignment of values, and finally, it highlights the importance of consistent collaboration and engagement with community representatives throughout the project activities, particularly, in planning and designing evaluation. Attendees will learn strategies to incorporate shared leadership values and practices in their own work, and evaluate partnership capacities for effective collaboration to ensure impactful community-engaged research and evaluation outcomes.
