The Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Assault (Network), contracted with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, to conduct a comprehensive program evaluation of its twelve "Domestic Violence Accountability Programs" (DVAP’s). The evaluation utilized qualitative and quantitative methods, including structured interviews with program facilitators to develop logic models tailored for each program that clarified goals, activities, and outcomes. A rigorous literature review informed the development of a set of valid and reliable survey measures, enabling the Network to assess client progress between the programs based upon the shared elements in the logic models. The evaluation team collaborated with the Network on the design of a centralized organizational database, ensuring standardized and accurate measurement and data management across the DVAP’s. This evaluation emphasized implementation and outcome assessments to address domestic violence accountability. The insights gained will empower the organization to track program outcomes, refine strategies, and enhance its impact on fostering safer communities.
