Founded in 1999, AfrEA has been instrumental in building a strong African evaluation community of practice by connecting evaluators, promoting evidence-based decision-making, and advocating for evaluation capacity building. This presentation will explore AfrEA's strategic vision for enhancing stakeholder engagement in evaluation across Africa. Building on its 2024-2028 strategic plan, AfrEA aims to strengthen capacities, visibility, and influence among its member VOPEs and individual evaluators. Key initiatives include promoting the institutionalisation and professionalisation of evaluation practices, supporting the "Made in Africa Evaluation" agenda, and fostering the participation of youth and women in evaluation. By bridging gaps among stakeholders, AfrEA seeks to enhance the use of evaluation and evidence in informing policy decisions aligned with the SDGs and AU Agenda 2063. The presentation highlights how AfrEA's collaborative approaches can strengthen evaluation outcomes and contribute to sustainable development in Africa, ultimately shaping a more impactful evaluation ecosystem.
