4: AI, Accreditation, and Equity: Reimagining Evaluation Through Shared Leadership and Intelligent Systems
Friday, November 14, 2025
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM CST
As AI technologies (including generative AI like ChatGPT, Claude, Co-Pilot, Gemini, and more) become more embedded in evaluation, accreditation, and quality improvement, evaluators must critically examine how these tools influence ethics, equity, and shared leadership. This Birds of a Feather session will foster collaborative dialogue around the use of AI in accreditation processes, including risks such as algorithmic bias, data misuse, and diminished community voice.
We will explore case examples from public health, education, and workforce development settings where AI supports reporting, analysis, and stakeholder communication. Participants will reflect on privacy, culturally responsive and equitable evaluation (CREE), and the balance between automation and human judgment. This session directly supports the AEA 2025 theme by asking: How do evaluators navigate intelligent technologies while upholding trust, equity, and community engagement? Attendees will leave with ideas, ethical questions, and potential collaborators to help guide the responsible integration of AI, including ChatGPT, into evaluation practice.
