19: Developing a Culture of Learning in an International NGO

This proposed session entitled “Developing a Culture of Learning in an International NGO” invites participants to engage in a dynamic conversation focusing on practical strategies for fostering a learning mindset among staff of all levels of exposure to research and evaluation, overcoming barriers to buy-in, standardizing processes, and maximizing the impact of learning tools. Drawing from our experience at Women for Women International’s (WfWI), we will explore challenges faced in promoting cross-team collaboration, managing resistance to change, and adapting processes to diverse cultural contexts. Through discussion prompts, we will address how to engage teams, align learning with organizational goals, and create sustainable, adaptable systems that promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Participants will leave with actionable insights to advance a culture of learning within their own organizations.
