Friday, November 14, 2025
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM CST
State and federal grant program evaluations often occur at a large scale, overlooking local contexts and limiting local involvement in evaluation design and implementation. This limitation arises because it is unclear how and when to meaningfully and respectfully engage the community. This session presents three case examples of collaborative evaluations designed to elevate community voice to reduce biases and power imbalances. All examples are drawn from complex community change initiatives, including Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) changes, utilizing principles-focused evaluation approaches (P-FE). This session will offer insights into evaluation planning, facilitation, and implementation to amplify community voices and share power to contribute to the common good of communities.
