Eval Gals: A decade of shared leadership strategies in evaluation practice

What do you get when you combine four evaluation leaders, lots of coffee, and monthly peer and leadership support for more than a decade? Eval Gals! Recognizing that we valued each other’s approaches to all areas of evaluation practice, we started informal meetings to share camaraderie and practical tips and tools for navigating our professional practice. Since our first meeting in June of 2012, we have supported each other through multiple job transitions; evaluation work in topics spanning from education, to health care, to community well-being; AEA leadership opportunities and challenges; a global pandemic; and major life events. As 2025 has crash landed, our shared time, wisdom, and support have never been more necessary as we navigate these days.
