The use of evidence-based practices (EBPs) has increased over the last half century. Legislative mandates for EBPs in the behavioral health disciplines have been implemented at the federal and state levels through formal legislation, regulatory agency policies, and funding requirements. But how do you implement and apply an evidence-based approach in behavioral health? What approaches are available? What are their limitations? What structures and other problems prevent the full implementation of an evidence-based approach? In this session, we will answer these questions with lessons learned from our research on EBPs and EBP clearinghouses. We will also discuss future directions for research on evidence-based policy and practices. Click to fill survey.
