In this paper we explore the critical role of evaluation in translating equity audits into actionable steps for systemic change and education justice. Drawing on MAEC's work in New England, this project will synthesize lessons learned from the past 10 years, drawing on 32 projects conducted across six states, to examine how engaging diverse community stakeholders and fostering shared leadership are essential for implementing equitable K-12 practices. The discussion will focus on evaluating the impact of community engagement on both the development and implementation of audit recommendations, as well as the distribution of leadership. Participants will gain strategies for assessing engagement, fostering shared leadership, and using findings to drive systemic change.
