Interactive Approaches for Collaborative Decision-Making & Evaluation to Foster Authentic Engagement
Friday, November 14, 2025
8:30 AM - 9:30 AM CST
This demonstration will focus on approaches using digital and in-person tools and strategies for engaging communities in decision-making and evaluation. Participants will learn methods to:
-Map Stakeholders: Identify key community members and influencers, guiding the development of robust, inclusive engagement plans.
-Prioritize Concepts: Leverage interactive tools to collaboratively identify and rank issues or solutions based on shared values, ensuring a ground-up approach to setting priorities.
-Interpret Data: Engage community members in interpreting and contextualizing data, ensuring evaluation results are reflective of lived experiences.
These methods support a diffusion of leadership from the outside evaluator and foster deeper engagement with intended audiences and stakeholders. This helps increase buy-in, build trust, improve data collection and use, and ensure that outcomes are maximally relevant and actionable. The facilitators will walk through examples of when to use each of these approaches and offer real-world examples of implementation throughout the evaluation process. Click to fill survey.
