Engaging Implementers, Strengthening Impact: Co-Creating an Impact Model Rooted in Implementers’ Insights
Wednesday, November 12, 2025
4:20 PM - 5:20 PM CST
Building an impact model for an existing program is a valuable but complex process that extends beyond measuring success. It requires outlining the program’s lifecycle, ensuring data sources are in place, mapping key data points, and refining outcomes. Engaging implementers in defining and mapping impact is crucial to understanding change and assessing long-term effects. In this session, we will share our experience developing impact models for two programs, demonstrating how collaboration with implementers shaped meaningful indicators and data collection strategies. Rather than applying a rigid framework, we aligned program staff insights with funder requirements and measurable outcomes, identifying data gaps and refining key metrics. This session provides a practical roadmap for organizations developing impact models, covering key challenges, lessons learned, and the role of shared leadership. Attendees will gain insights into stakeholder engagement, data mapping, and making impact measurement both meaningful and actionable. Click to fill survey.
