1: AAPI Evaluators Affinity Group: Sharing Perspectives and Building Community
Friday, November 14, 2025
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM CST
As Asian evaluators, we bring perspectives that are unique and contribute to the diversity in thought and approach to the evaluation field. At the same time, existing in white-dominant spaces can be challenging for us to freely and fully practice our professional disciplines with our whole selves, without needing to explain our culture and lived experiences attached to our ideas. In this session, we create an affinity space for Asian evaluators to gather and connect. We hope for this to be a generative and ideative time and connection as we work toward decolonizing and de-centering whiteness, and promote diverse voices and shared leadership in our evaluations. Join us as we build community with other Asian evaluators, sharing experiences, triumphs, and challenges in a safe space. We will also strategize ways to improve our craft and build support with a deeper antiracist lens that can lead to collective liberation.
