The Program Evaluation Standards Revision Process: Major Milestones and Future Collaborative Efforts

This presentation will provide an opportunity for AEA members and interested others to recieve information and provide feedback on the current draft of the revision to the JCSEE (AEA is an organizational member) Program Evaluation Standards. The Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation (JCSEE) Program Evaluation Standards (2010) provide a widely recognized framework to guide the design, implementation, and assessment of evaluations. They were developed to improve both the quality and credibility of evaluation practice across contexts such as education, nonprofits, and community programs. The Standards are organized into five broad categories, each addressing a fundamental dimension of evaluation. Together, these standards are intended to guide evaluators in conducting evaluations that are practical, ethical, and trustworthy, while also encouraging transparency and continuous improvement in evaluation practice.
