Friday, November 14, 2025
9:45 AM - 10:45 AM CST
While all evaluators have a responsibility to program interestholders, there is a lack of shared understanding of the ways in which we can produce meaningful and culturally responsive findings. Recent changes in the political environment have further complicated our understanding of and ability to do so. This expert panel brings together experienced evaluation practitioners, scholars, teachers, and thought leaders on engaging underserved communities in evaluation. Panelists will discuss key considerations for current evaluation practice. Based on research on evaluation and reflective practice, these “pracademics” will balance theory, practice, and research to contribute to continued engagement in evaluation projects and inspire further research on evaluation engagement. Audience participation in the discussion will contribute to a greater understanding of “Engaging Communities, Sharing Leadership”, including the challenges and opportunities for future research in this area.
