Evaluators are challenged to engage with people in ways that respect their dignity and contribute to the common good. Mertens, McBride, and Moss explore frameworks that guide evaluators through shared leadership approaches that empower communities and foster transformative change. Mertens presents "Transformative Evaluation and Community Engagement ", exploring the transformative paradigm framework, illustrating strategies to answer questions about who is included in leadership and what strategies include those who are marginalized. McBride presents "From Insight to Action: Applying Culturally Responsive Community Transformation in Evaluation", exploring how grassroots transformation strategies have led to collective action with and by community members, driven by data, stories, and continual learning. Moss presents "What does this mean? Understanding how community local ways of knowing inform culturally responsive evaluation practice in shared leadership" and will demonstrate strategies for building community connections, promotion of unlearning and novel evaluation practice with college campuses and LGBTQIA+ organizations.
