Samrat Sikdar. Samrat is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Agricultural & Extension Education at College of Agriculture & Life Sciences (CALS), Mississippi State University, USA. Samrat holds a Master of Science in "Extension Education" (Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, India; 2020), a Master of Science in "Communication for Development" (School of Agriculture, Policy & Development, University of Reading, UK; 2021); and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Agricultural sciences (Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, India; 2018). Samrat was awarded the University Gold Medal for securing highest GPA in Extension Education during his Master's program in India alongside achieving "Best MSc Thesis Award". He was the recipient of 2 international scholarships and 1 award from University of Reading (England) while pursuing his second master's there. Samrat also worked as a faculty member at an Indian university for a couple of years and taught the courses of "Ag. Extension & Communication" there. He was offered a Graduate Assistantship position in 2023 to pursue his PhD at Mississippi State University, USA. Samrat is interested in learning the diverse use & application of evaluation efficiently in the domain of "Extension" through qualitative and quantitative ways.
