Jerri-ann B. Danso, M.Ed., M.Ed., PhD Student, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Jerri is a doctoral student in the Evaluation, Statistics, and Methodology program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she also serves as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Office of the Chancellor. She brings more than a decade of professional experience in higher education assessment and research. Before beginning full-time doctoral studies, Jerri held leadership roles at the University of Florida as Assistant Director of Student Life Assessment and Research and as Director of Assessment in the College of Pharmacy.
Her scholarship and practice center on culturally responsive assessment and the integration of both quantitative and qualitative methods to advance equity-centered decision making. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Higher Education, and a second Master’s degree in Research and Evaluation Methodology, all from the University of Florida. Throughout her career, Jerri has led institutional assessment initiatives, developed comprehensive research strategies, and implemented evaluation projects tailored to diverse educational and community contexts. Guided by a commitment to social impact, she employs equity-focused approaches that prioritize inclusivity and responsiveness to the unique needs of the communities she serves. Her passion lies in leveraging methodological expertise and rigorous data analysis to inform policy and practice, while empowering stakeholders with meaningful, data-driven insights.
Outside of her professional work, Jerri is an avid reader who enjoys spending quality time with her spouse and four-year-old son.
