Technical Assistance (TA) is a critical tool for providing targeted support aimed at building capacity and improving outcomes across sectors like public health, education, and social services. However, despite its widespread use, there is no standardized framework for planning, implementing, and evaluating TA , and limited literature exists on its empirical evaluation and how to understand what contributes to TA outcomes. TA is often tailored to specific needs and varies in frequency, dosage and contexts, contributing to the challenges in its evaluation. This poster outlines a research-informed TA evaluation framework that is focused on stakeholder engagement and systems thinking. The TA evaluation framework focused is on affordable housing in the U.S. where there is ongoing attention due to the housing crisis. During this session we welcome conversation on its feasibility and on strategies for creating effective TA frameworks that can advance research across multiple sectors.
