Dr. Mariana de Santibañes is a Research Associate at EVALCORP Research & Consulting, specializing in behavioral health program evaluation and social policy research. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from New York University Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, an M.P.A. from NYU, and a Licenciatura in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires.
Dr. de Santibañes brings 15 years of expertise in qualitative research methods and participatory action research (PAR), with particular focus on developing culturally responsive evaluation approaches with communities for whom conventional evaluation methods often prove inadequate, including Indigenous women, immigrants, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, farmworkers, domestic workers, individuals experiencing homelessness, LGBTQ youth, system-impacted youth, and sex workers.
Her research advances community-centered evaluation methodologies, examining how intersecting identities shape social policy experiences. She has published work on Indigenous leadership, participatory action research, and gendered effects of social policies. Dr. de Santibañes is recognized for creating evaluation approaches that meaningfully capture program impact across diverse cultural contexts.
