Pamela Drake, MEd, PhD, is a Senior Research Scientist at ETR serving as a research and evaluation methodologist. In her 26 years at ETR, she has directed numerous health-focused evaluations of differing sizes, scopes, and rigor, including the evaluation of 8 federally-funded (OPA, FYSB, NIDA, NIH) RCTs. She is well-versed in qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Much of her current work focuses on teen pregnancy prevention (TPP) and combines over 15 years of experience in innovative programming, capacity building, research, and youth engagement. She is PI of an OPA-funded Tier 2 rigorous impact study, conducting a randomized-control evaluation of a teen pregnancy prevention booster program for older teens. She also serves as the research PI for a FYSB-funded RCT evaluating a 5-session teen pregnancy prevention program for highly mobile youth. Additionally, Dr. Drake directs the evaluation of an OPA-funded innovation hub, in which she is responsible for developing and overseeing the project learning agenda, working with sub-grantees on the evaluations of their SRH-focused innovations, providing general conceptual and evaluation oversight, and creating youth-centered Theory of Change and technical assistance.
