Women for Women International
Basant ElBanna, MPH, MBBCH, is a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Coordinator at Women for Women International (WfWI). Basant works with WfWI MERL country teams to evaluate the organization's programs that aim to advance women's social and economic outcomes in post-conflict communities. She plays an important role in ensuring data quality of MERL tools at WfWI, as well as MERL capacity building. Basant recieved her Master of Public Health from Washington University in St. Louis in 2018, and since then she has focused her career on monitoring and evaluaton for domestic NGOs, then international NGOs. She worked at Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) prior to her current role with WfWI, evaluating programs that served people who experinced war. Basant loves cats and hates the partiarchy.
